1st November 2009
Its been a little while since my last update, but its been a fantastic year so far. Playing at Mansons Guitar Show in Oct was great, being on the same bill as Bernie Marsden from Whitesnake, the fantastic Dario Cortese (Musicman), Mark Chadwick from the Levellers and the legend of Guy Pratt (Pink Floyd) to name a few.
Also picked up a new endorsement from Blackheart Enginnering who make absolutely great amps which I love playing. Such versatile amps which I’ll be using to record my new CD with (this being the Demo currently in production with my band - www.rudetiger.com).
On that note, the relaunch of my new band - Rude Tiger is going incredibly well, make sure you check out the website. Check out the gig dates to see where we’re playing next.
Anyway, take it easy and see you soon,
Jas
p.s oh yes, you may notice that I have cut my hair so you’ll have to excuse some of the older press shots, I have new ones on the way!! Cheers

Well, it has certainly been a very intense couple months. With the release of our new album 'Rescue', our special headline show at Honiton and not to mention my rollercoaster ride of Guitar Idol 2008.
Picture this, it's just over two weeks away from our most important show of the year, Honiton, and I have at last reached the point where I can start putting guitar down on our new album 'Rescue', which by the way had been in progress since February! Anyway, there's a lot of guitar to record so I'm feeling very anxious to get it all down in such a short time. Well, it's Sunday evening after a busy day in the studio & I get a call from a cool sounding chap, James Edwards, telling me that I have reached the finals of International Guitar Idol 2008!
It suddenly dawns on me that not only have I got to record a massive amount of guitar, I now have to prepare for an international competition!
The weeks that followed consisted of literally just intense guitar! We headed up to London for rehearsals & I met the other finalists, all 11 of them were the nicest genuine chaps around.
The show day was fantastic, such an awesome experience. I was the first one to go on which was a little nerving to say the least. The title was clinched by a Brazilian chap, Gustavo Guerra, such an awesome player.
After the contest it was straight down the M5 to a Bikers Rally gig in South-Devon, which went great. With a week left we knuckled down and completed the album in time, even if we finished mastering the day before!
Honiton went fantastic, a great turnout, awesome audience & atmosphere, despite our inprompture powercut at the end resulting in a very 'quiet' encore. Despite the set backs it was a very successful album launch, of which we sold out!
FInally, I'm back on my feet now from a very busy couple months & I'm just catching up on all that I neet to.
All the best,
Jas
P.S I'm in communications with LICK LIBRARY tuition DVD's about releasing one, so keep your eyes peeled. . . Cheers. . .

2008 has begun with a flying start. Just off the road from a mini 3 date Manchester tour that went great. All three gigs went down a storm and we already have a return date planned with the venues for around May time (keep checking morrisbrothersband.com for updates).
In the coming months we are playing in South Wales, supporting Martin Turners Wishbone Ash, supporting Wishbone Ash (Andy Powell’s) and not to mention holding our own very special Headline show again at Honiton this June, which is also setting the release of our new album! Tickets for all gigs are available from the band site.
We have begun auditioning for new guitarists which is going well, however if there is anyone out there that fit the specs - (Singer/Guitarist 18-25, experience, own gear, transport, Keyboards a bonus, sorta thing ) please give me or the band an email and we’ll sort out an audition.
Regards,
Jas

Hi everyone, its been a momentous set of gigs for us this past month, performing as support for the great musicians of Wishbone Ash twice (one at the awesome Chesterfield Theatre - 1200 people) Martin Turners Wishbone Ash as well as headlining our own show at Honiton and one up in Mansfield.
Albums and the new E.P have sold very well & I feel the big gigs we’ve just done have spread our presence a little more through-out the country.
Advertisements for a new 2nd guitarist will begin soon so keep your eyes peeled if you are a player…
All the best,
Jas

Hi all, things are going very well. Just did a gig with Cliff Moore (Gary’s brothers) which was spectacular. He performed an awesome set before us at the Ritz Theatre in Burnham On Sea. We followed and half way through Cliff joined us onstage for some guitar duelling. It was a pleasure playing with such a talented guitarist.
Also, I have some cool gigs lined up with the Morris Brothers supporting Wishbone Ash a couple more times this year (October/November - check band site) and also our own headline show at the Honiton Motel this 20th Oct.
New material is coming along well, planning for release a little later this year.
Hope all is well and please do leave a comment on the forum if you have any questions.
Take care,
Cheers
Jas
